Our Client, an international energy services company have an urgent requirement for a Storage Specialist to administer and take technical lead of a large storage environment.
Your main responsibilities will include support of local current server and network environment for approx 4000 customers based locally and up to 10,000 customers worldwide. You will also act as a technical resource for the local and wider support teams, ensuring availability of services, dealing with planned/unplanned outages and ensuring compliance with change management process.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of all storage environments (EMC/Netapp/Commvault) both performance and error
Provisioning of storage as and when required
Planning and implementation of future requirements
Management of the Fabric Network (Cisco / Brocade)
Management of the iSCSI environment
Control of the backup environment using Commvault with adherence to retention policies
Backup/Restore integrity checking and testing
Control of DR replication / snapshots
Knowledge of EMC Recoverpoint a distinct advantage
Required:
Ideally qualified to degree level in an IT discipline or equivalent
Good storage experience in EMC and Netapp
Must have excellent communication skills
Ability to document changes with handover of knowledge to the 3rd line support team.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Good all round knowledge of Microsoft technologies

This role reports in to the Network Manager who will be based in either Aberdeen or Houston and you will take on a role in providing Team Lead support to the Network Support Team. You will also be required to undertake a number of more leadership, administration and managerial duties, which are noted below.
You will have a progressive track record with extensive experience of working in a global environment supporting IP networks and/or large-scale systems. You will also have substantial experience of undertaking a leadership role and have experience of managing resources
Responsibilities:
·Lead the daily activities of the Network Support Team. Provide guidance and direction. Ensure an effective global on call rota is developed and published.
·Responsible for the supervising final operational testing and acceptance for a variety of data network equipment
·Take charge of all scheduled maintenance requests following the directions set forth in the Engineering Design as defined by project plan including configuration implementation, testing and documentation of results
·Ensure detailed network documentation as well as standard operational procedures are updated according to Unity process
·Ensure third level fault isolation and troubleshooting is conducted in a timely manner
Required:
·IP/Telephony Experience
·Solid knowledge in working with network service and equipment vendors.
·Experience in working in an international environment providing service across multiple regions.
·Advanced knowledge of telecommunications protocols, design, network planning, hardware and platforms
·Complete understanding of networks as it relates to business issues from a project management, sales and financial perspective
