Our client a prestigious hotel group based in Aberdeen City Centre is looking to recruit a Reservations Supervisor to join their Front Office Team. The purpose of the role is to operate the Rooms Sales Department to ensure the hotel achieves maximum occupancy at the highest average room rates possible whilst assisting in activities involved with the selling and promotion of all Hotel facilities.

Duties to include:
To have full knowledge of the Fidelio computer systems, fax and telephone systems.
To have full knowledge of rates, rate structures and commissions.
To have full knowledge of market segments.
To have a full understanding of the financial reports relating to the rooms Department and constantly monitor the Hotel's room sales performance.
To ensure that the Hotel's policies regarding answering calls and dealing with reservations and correspondence are adhered to.
To ensure that the Hotel's credit control policies are adhered to and to have full knowledge of payment methods accepted.
To ensure the Hotel's overbooking policy is adhered to.
To actively contribute to the sales development of all Hotels through prompt distribution of sales leads to the Sales Department.
To maintain all aspects of competitor awareness and carry out on a regular basis (suggestion of twice per year) a study of competitor hotels facilities, services and rates.
To actively encourage increased sales in all areas of the Hotel and be aware of any special promotions and events taking place.
To ensure accurate records are maintained regarding enquiries, cancellations, denied business, brochure requests and follow up.
To liase with Reception and provide accurate advance information on room counts, selling status, pre-allocations rooms, VIP guests and the arrivals list.
To attend a weekly revenue meeting and assist management team on rooms performance against forecast and budget.
To attend daily meetings and any other meetings recommended by the Revenue Manager.

Essential skills:
A sound understanding of the Fidelio Computer systems
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
