Key Tasks include:-

• Carry out technical and design engineering activities in support of the Extruded Products, Umbilical and associated product lines
• Produce economic engineered solutions,, maximising profitability whilst satisfying all customer/project requirements
• Customer Liaison, confirming precise Engineering requirements
• Internal Department Liaison to ensure clarity /understanding of client./project requirements
• Ensuring of compliance procedures/development and improvement of existing products and services
• Supplier liaison
• Meeting of deadlines
• Administrative duties including management reports, maintaining filing/admin/databases

 You MUST possess the following:-

• HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years experience or working in an engineering environment with design experience in a relevant area
• Experience of carrying out engineering calculations e.g. stress, strain, load, bending
• AutoCAD Inventor and use of FEA packages
• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain a professional and focused approach at all times, in particular, in customer facing situations
• Keen and effective attention to details

We are delighted to be working with this market leader in the provision of specialist engineering support services for pumps, gas compressors and associated equipment in the Oil & Gas industry in there search for a Technical Focal Point.

Key tasks:

• Manage and undertake a range of activities associated with the ongoing improvement of company pumping equipment
• Assist the nominated Reliability Engineer to propose, develop and implement improvement activities
• Participate in RCA investigations as necessary
• Ensure the Reliability Engineer is kept aware of the status of any technical activities being performed under the contract
• Undertake regular visits to offshore assets operated by the company to identify and implement improvement actions
• Support and actively participate in the development and execution of client asset maintenance strategy including; verification of Company Personnel Competence; review of Maintenance Routines; Optimisation of Pump Inventory Management; Preparation of Workpacks, Technical Documentation, etc.
• Input of Information to support regular reporting of asset improvement activities including the company ASR process
• Attend morning maintenance meetings and lead bi-weekly pump meetings for client assets
• Ensure that the pump status sheets are updated regularly and relayed to appropriate staff

Required:

• HNC or equivalent Engineering discipline
• Good commercial awareness
• Good technical Knowledge

Do you have experience in design, operation and maintenance requirements for liquid and gas metering systems?

You must have held a senior position with a specialist metering company, oil company or government agency. Technical Requirements: 1. A thorough knowledge of liquid and gas flow meter selection and metering system design.2. Experience in design calculations, flowrate computation and flowrate uncertainty estimation.3. Capable of preparing meter system conceptual design specifications for new and upgrade systems, detail specifications, software overviews, acceptance test procedures, recertification test procedures and maintenance procedures.4. Ability to prepare flowrate sampling and allocation procedures.5. Familiar with all relevant IP, API, AGA, BS and ISO standards and codes of practice together with regulatory requirements and guidelines.6. Experience in using computer programmes for design purposes.Qualifications: BSc/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Applied Physics. Membership of Chartered Engineering Institute (preferred).
